Friends of Fowey Estuary Otter Project.
A summary of progress so far to 22/03/2016. Our aim is to find out more about otters in Fowey Estuary
We began by setting up a talk about otters by Dave Groves of the Cornwall mammal Group to inform members who had not studied otters previously.
We hope to join, or at least mirror, the proposed Coastal Otter Project but until this gets going we have started by ourselves.
Our initial aim was to survey the estuary for signs of otter and hopefully get photographic evidence of the otters, too.
Accompanied by other Friends of Fowey Estuary members, friends or family members I have made eleven forays onto the estuary to gather information by obsevation and by setting trailcams.
